Holy Spirit window located in the council meeting room

This window focuses on the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit through the individual believer and the corporate body of believers, the Church.  From the center of the design is a descending dove superimposed with the all seeing eye of God.  This is meant to illustrate that via the Spirit God is able to keep an ever watchful eye on His children in order to guide them away from temptations and towards an evermore deeper and meaningful relationship with Him.  Branching out from the dove are streams of red color to symbolize the Day of Pentecost, the birthday of the Christian Church.  In the midst of the red streams of color under the dove is a bundle of wheat held together by a crown.  This is a symbol of all the Saints held together by and being submissive to the authority of the Lord.  In the left panel is a ship, which is a historic symbol of the Church with all of its many parts working together for the common goal of growing the Kingdom of God under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  In the right panel are the broken tablets of the Law and a line of growing lilies.  The lilies represent the Resurrection of Christ and by accepting Him, the Christians' participation in the resurrection from the old self to the new self.  The broken tablets serve as are a reminder that Christians are no longer bound to the written Law, but instead we are held to a higher standard of Godly principles.  Overall it is by the work of the Holy Spirit that our personal faith is continually challenged to become more mature, and meaningful.
