All about Amanda

Amanda Henderson was born in New Braunfels to Kermit and Shirley Vetter. She had two siblings, Sandy and Randy; her brother, Randy Vetter, a Texas State Trooper, was killed in the line of duty in 2000. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Braunfels. Amanda graduated from Canyon High School in 1997, where she was active in band and theatre. Amanda's mom passed away two months later from pancreatic cancer.

Amanda went off to college at The University of Texas at Arlington and earned her bachelor's degree in Speech Communication in 2001. She married her high school sweetheart, Jason Henderson, in January 2002. The couple jumped around Texas until landing in Live Oak last year. They have two beautiful children, Jessica and Andrew. Jason has worked for Wal-Mart as the Vision Centers Manager for twelve years. Jessica is in kindergarten and enjoys playing soccer and dancing. Andrew is three and loves to run and play with cars.

Amanda is excited to be working with everyone at Peace and is ready to start building up the youth program! She is ecstatic to be raising her children in the loving, Christian environment that Peace offers to everyone.
