August Activities
- Sunday, the 20th — The first Pee Wee and Pyglet event of the fall will be held at the roller skating rink. We’ll have a lunch at the church before we go and skate until 3:00. Parents: while the youth are skating, we will talk about upcoming events for the semester. Cost: $6.00.
Kids’ Club will begin September 6th from 4:30-6:00. This year, youth in grades K-4 will meet on the first and third Wednesday, and a new group, The Voyagers, specifically designed for those in 5th and 6th grade will meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesday from 4:30-6:00. A sign-up sheet is located on the bulletin board outside my office.
If you would like to volunteer to help teach on the first and third Wednesday from 4:30-6:00, please contact Angie.
Also, if you would like to volunteer to provide snacks for either of these groups, please contact Angie. A list is located on the bulletin board outside my office.

June Activities
- 3rd, 8:00 PM - Family Lock-In ~ Come to the church with your sleeping bag and favorite board game. The fun will conclude with morning worship at 8:00 AM.
- 7th, 6:00-7:00 PM - Survivor Bible Study ~ Sit by the campfire and hear amazing stories of survival in the Bible.
- 12th-16th, 5:30-8:30 - Vacation Bible School
- 28th, 6:00-7:00 PM - Survivor Bible Study ~ Sit by the campfire and hear amazing stories of survival in the Bible.
- 29th, 10:30 AM-Noon - MoonWalk! ~ Meet at the church to carpool to San Antonio to jump in the inflatables at Rolling Oaks Mall. Cost is $5.00. If you are able to help drive, please let Angie know.
May Activities
- 3rd at 4:30 PM - Kids' Club ~ Movie Making
- 17th at 6:00 PM - Kids' Club ~ Viewing party! Youth, Parents, and members of the congregation are invited to attend the viewing party of the movie the Kids’ Club youth have made. The fun starts at 6:00.
- 21st after the late service - Swim Party at the Evolas' for all Pyglets and Pee Wees. Come to their house and help kick off the summer!
April Activities
- 5th at 4:30 PM - Kids' Club ~ Veggie Tales: “Lord of the Beans” — A lesson in “Using Your Gifts"
- 13th at 6:00 PM - Pee Wees and Pyglets will talk about the Passion, and make special Easter cookies to enjoy on Easter Sunday. Then meet back with your family to join in the Maundy Thursday worship service
- 19th a 4:30 PM - Kids' Club ~ Veggie Tales: “Easter Carol” — The true meaning of Easter
- 29th at 12:00 PM - Pee Wees and Pyglets come together to go to the Rose Emporium for a fun afternoon of crafts and hands on fun and educational activities with garden and outdoor themes. Meet at the church with a picnic lunch. We expect to return to the church by 5:00. This event is free!
March Activities
- 1st - Kids' Club ~ Sin - “God Wants me to forgive them?”
- 15th - Kids' Club ~ Prayer - “Where is God When I am S-scared?”
- 24th-25th — “People of the Passion” Upper Elementary Advent Retreat for grades 4-6! Every year we celebrate the season of Lent in anticipation of Easter and the Great Passion. We hear stories and learn about the characters. But how well do we really know them? How is their story our story? Walk alongside, ask questions, and hear the story of the “People of the Passion.” Cost $55.00. Registration deadline is March 12th. See Angie for more information.
- 26th — Meet at J and R Gymnastics at 1:00 for pizza, then from 1:30-2:30, enjoy playing in the gym. Cost is $7.00, and a parent waiver must be signed before playing in the gym.

- 15th - There will be a chili cook-off immediately following the late service. Members of the PeeWee youth group will be preparing their favorite chili recipes on site. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Members of the congregation are invited to enjoy a big bowl of chili for lunch. There will be a free will offering benefiting our youth program.
